MediaTek has been launching affordable 5G chipsets under its Dimensity series lately, and we’ve already seen several smartphones launch with these processors. The latest phone to come with Dimensity chipset is the Huawei Enjoy Z 5G, which has been launched in China.
The Huawei Enjoy Z 5G is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 800 SoC, which makes it one of the most affordable smartphones to feature 5G connectivity. Apart from the 5G, the Enjoy Z 5G features a 90Hz display, 48-megapixel triple cameras, Android 10, and more as its highlights.
Huawei Enjoy Z 5G specifications and features
The Huawei Enjoy Z 5G is equipped with a 6.5-inch display featuring a dewdrop notch at the top, thanks to which the phone features an impressive 91.2 percent screen-to-body ratio. The display features 2,400 x 1,080 resolution, 90Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz. Ticking at the core of the handset is the 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 800 processor accompanied by a NATT MC4 GPU. Huawei is offering the Enjoy Z 5G in three configurations – 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 128GB. The onboard storage can be expanded up to 256GB using a NanoMemory card.
In the optics department, the Enjoy Z 5G features 48-megapixel f/1.8 primary sensor on the back accompanied by a 2-megapixel 4cm macro camera, and an 8-megapixel super wide-angle camera. The rear camera setup offers features like EIS, 10x digital zoom, night scene mode, macro mode, and a beauty mode. The dewdrop notch on the front houses a 16-megapixel f/2.0 camera.
The smartphone boots EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10 out of the box. Powering the device is a 4,000mAh battery with support for 22.5W fast charging. For security, there’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded into the power button.
Huawei Enjoy Z 5G price and availability
Huawei is offering the Enjoy Z 5G in Dark Blue, Sakura Snow Clear Sky, and Magic Night Black colours. The phone will retail for RMB 1,699 (~Rs 18,100), RMB 1,899 (~Rs 20,200) and RMB 2,199 (~Rs 23,2400) for the 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 128GB variants respectively. The smartphone is already up for pre-orders in China, and will go on sale starting June 1st.
