Huawei Honor 6X to Launch on October 18th in China

Chinese smartphone company Huawei is all set to launch the Honor 6X, a successor of the Honor 5X, officially on October 18th. There are several reports that Huawei has already started sending out press invites for the event scheduled next week in China. During the Honor 6X launch, Huawei may also unveil the Honor S1 Smartwatch. Last month, the phone was surfaced on a Chinese certification website TENAA disclosing limited specifications. However, the site now reveals all the specifications of the device.


The Huawei Honor 6X sports a 5.5-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels Full HD resolution and 401PPI pixel density. What powers this gadget is Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 650 processor clocked at 2.1GHz. The Honor 6X comes in two variants — 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage. The storage capacity is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.

The device has a dual camera setup in the form of a 12-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors with a LED flash on the back. At the front, it features an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie enthusiasts. This is a Dual-SIM phone which packs in a 3270mAh non-removable battery. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Huawei’s EMUI 4.1 on top.

The Huawei Honor 6X comes in Gold, White, Gray, Blue and Pink colour options and supports 4G LTE, WiFi, GPS connectivity options. The company recently unveiled three new devices — Honor 8, Honor 8 Smart, and Honor Holly 3 in India.
