Earlier this year in September, the Chinese tech giant Huawei introduced its latest Mate series flagship smartphones called the Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro 4G / 5G. The Mate 30 Pro 5G arrived as the latest Huawei flagship handset with a primary quad-camera setup at the rear. Now almost three months after the launch of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G, the popular smartphone camera testing firm DxOMark has released its scores for the device. The Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G has scored 123 points on DxOMark’s camera test, making it the highest scoring . Notably, the device has scored two points higher than the Huawei Mate 30 Pro.
In the DxOMark camera testing, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G has received an overall score of 134 points in the photography section. In the video segment, the handset got a total DxOMark score of 102 points. In the photo department, the source claims that the Mate 30 Pro 5G offers high levels of detail in most test conditions. The phone offers pleasant colours when shooting images outside, well-noise control, and good detail in zoom shots at close and medium range. As for the videos, the Mate 30 Pro 5G offers good detail rendering in most conditions. Also, the device delivers accurate target exposure and good colours while shooting both inside and outside.
To recap on the camera specs of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G, the phone flaunts a 40MP main camera with an aperture of f/1.6, PDAF, and OIS. The main sensor is paired with a secondary 8MP f/2.4 shooter that is also equipped with PDAF and OIS. There’s an ultra-wide-angle 40MP lens onboard with f/1.8 aperture. Lastly, there’s a 3D Time of Flight (ToF) camera on the Mate 30 Pro 5G. Huawei hasn’t yet launched the Mate 30 series in India.
