Back in September this year, Huawei had unveiled its flagship Mate 30 series which included the standard and Pro edition. The Mate 30 Pro was launched in 4G and 5G variants. Additionally, the 5G model has arrived in two RAM and storage configurations of 8GB + 256GB and 8GB + 512GB. The former is priced at RMB 6,899 (~Rs 69,255) while the latter retails at RMB 7,899 (~Rs 79,303). Now Huawei has announced a third variant of the Mate 30 Pro 5G with lower storage capacity i.e. 8GB + 128GB. It’s worth noting that the rest of the specs of Mate 30 Pro 5G remain the same.
Mate 30 Pro 5G specifications and features
The Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G sports a 6.53-inch OLED display bearing FHD+ resolution. It is equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The device features a regular notch on the top that houses 3D face unlock. On the back, the Mate 30 Pro 5G is equipped with quad-cameras in a circular module. The setup consists of a 40MP Cine camera (ultra-wide), 40MP SuperSensing camera (main), 8MP telephoto lens and a 3MP depth sensor. On the front, the device features a 32MP selfie shooter.
Under the hood, the Mate 30 Pro 5G houses Kirin 990 SoC based on 7nm+ architecture. It is coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The smartphone draws its power from a 4,200mAh battery unit with support for 27W wireless charging and 40W wired charging. The Mate 30 Pro 5G runs on EMUI 10 based on open-source Android, but comes without support for Google apps and services. The smartphone comes with 14 antennas for seamless 5G connectivity.
Mate 30 Pro 5G price and availability
The 8GB + 128GB variant of the Mate 30 Pro 5G has been priced at RMB 6,399 (~Rs 64,243). The smartphone is up for pre-booking in China with sales commencing from December 18th. The global availability of the Mate 30 series is not known yet.
