Huawei MateBook D 14 and D 15 notebooks launched in China

At an event in China, Huawei introduced its latest Android tablet called the MatePad Pro in the country. Alongside the slate, the company has also unveiled its latest MateBook series of laptops called the MateBook D 14 and MateBook D 15. The brand’s newest notebooks flaunt a premium design with narrow bezels around the screen. Both the new MateBook laptops feature the company’s Shark Fin 2.0 Silent Fan, which is capable of offering higher air volume intake to improve heat dissipation. Notably, the fan produces less sound as compared to standard laptop fans.

Talking about the Huawei MateBook D 14 first, it comes with a 14-inch full HD display. The notebook has a one-touch power button that also houses the fingerprint sensor. The laptop can be configured with up to an Intel Core i7 10th-gen processor or Ryzen R5 chipset. The device has up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of solid-state drive storage. Software-wise, the new MateBook D 14 boots Windows 10 out of the box. The laptop is claimed to provide up to 13 hours of usage on a single charge.

As for the Huawei MateBook D 15, this one has a bigger 15.6-inch full HD IPS display. The notebook is powered by up to the Intel Core i7 10th-gen processor or up to the AMD Ryzen i5 chipset. The laptop has up to 16GB of RAM and can be configured with 256GB of SSD and 1TB of HDD storage. In terms of connectivity, the new MateBooks are equipped with a USB 2.0 port, two USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port, a USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a 3.5mm headphone socket.

Huawei MateBook D 14 and D15 price and availability

The MateBook D 14’s base variant has been priced at RMB 3,999, while the top-end model of the notebook is being offered for RMB 6,499. The MateBook D 15’s starting price is RMB 3,999, and it goes up to RMB 6,599 for the most high-end variant. The new Huawei laptops will be available to buy in China from the first week of December.
