Huawei MateBook X Pro (2020), D 14 and 15 notebooks announced

At the launch event for the Mate Xs foldable phone and MatePad Pro flagship tablet, Huawei announced couple of new notebooks. The MateBook X Pro ultrabook and the MateBook D 14 and D15 are fueled by the 10th generation Intel Comet Lake chipsets. While the Huawei MateBook X Pro is an entirely new device, the D-series laptops had launched in China few months back.

The MateBook X Pro comes with a 13.9-inch IPS touchscreen display that offers 3,000 x 2,000 pixels resolution and up to 450nits brightness. It offers a screen-to-body ratio of 91 percent. It comes in Intel Core i7-10510U and Core i5-10510U CPU options along with up to 16GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce MX250 discrete GPU with 2GB of GDDR5 VRAM.

The MateBook X Pro has a 57.4Wh battery. It comes with other features like Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, pop-up button camera, power button integrated with fingerprint reader, two USB-C ports, a USB-A port and a 3.5mm audio / microphone combo jack. The device weighs only 1.33kg and its dimensions are 303 x 217 x 14.6mm.

The Huawei MateBook X Pro has a starting price of €1,499 (~Rs. 1,17,200). It can be availed in colour options such as Space Grey, Mystic Silver and Emerald Green.

The Huawei MateBook D 14 and D 15 feature 14-inch and 15.6-inch displays respectively that offer full HD resolution. These devices weigh 1.38kg and 1.62kg, respectively. Both notebooks come in CPU versions like Intel 10th gen Core i7-10510U, Core i5-10210U and AMD Ryzen 5 3500U. Users can choose from graphics choices like Nvidia GeForce MX250 or Radeon Vega 8.

The 14-inch model comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. It houses a 56Wh battery. On the other hand, the 15-inch model has 8GB of RAM, 256GB / 512GB of SSD storage and HDD. It is backed by a smaller 42Wh battery. Both devices ship with 65W fast chargers. These laptops also feature fingerprint power buttons and pop-up button cameras.

The MateBook D 14 starts at €699 (~Rs. 54,660) for the Ryzen model. The Intel chipset version with Nvidia MX250 GPU starts at €949 (~Rs. 74,210). The Ryzen edition of the MateBook D 15 starts €649 (~Rs. 50750). The Core i5 edition with MX250 GPU is priced at €949 (~Rs 74,200).
