Huawei has announced two new tablets – MediaPad T3 7 and MediaPad T3 8. As the name suggest, the MediaPad T3 7 features a 7-inch display whereas the MediaPad T3 8 sports an 8-inch display. The tablets are already listed on the company’s official website and are likely to go on sale soon. As of now, there’s no word about the availability or price of the devices.
Coming to the specs, the MediaPad T3 7 features a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and get a pixel density of 170PPI. Inside are a 1.3GHz 64-bit MediaTek MT8172 processor with Mali 450 GPU. It comes in two different variants – 1GB RAM with 8GB storage and 2GB RAM with 16GB storage. Both the variants support up to 64GB MicroSD card to further expand the storage. The tab runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow wrapped under EMUI 4.1.
For photography, the Media T3 7 flaunts a 2-megapixel primary camera on the back panel. Up front, it also sports a 2-megapixel snapper for video calling and selfies. The tab packs in a 3,100mAh battery and measures 179 x 103.68 x 8.6mm in dimension. It weighs 250 grams.
The MediaPad T3 8, on the other hand, features an 8-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Underneath, the tab draws its power from a quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor. This one also comes in two variants – one with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage while the other one gets 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Camera-wise, it sports a 5-megapixel on the back and 2-megapixel on the front. The tablet packs in a 4,800mAh battery and weighs 350 grams. It runs EMUI 5.1 built on top of Android 7.0 Nougat.
In both the tablets, the lower variant features only Wi-Fi whereas the superior one comes with Wi-Fi as well as LTE. Apart from these, the tablets also feature Bluetooth, GPS, and 3.5mm audio jack.
