Huawei Nova 4e with 32MP Selfie Camera and Triple Rear Cameras Launched in China

The Huawei Nova 4e has gone official in China as the successor of the Nova 3e handset from last year. Some of the major highlights of the latest smartphone include a 32-megapixel front-facing camera, and triple rear-mounted cameras along with a tall aspect ratio screen. The handset has arrived with an attractive starting price of 1,999 Yuan (~Rs. 23,450).

Huawei Nova 4e Specifications and Features

The Huawei Nova 4e comes with a 6.15-inch IPS LCD display with a waterdrop notch. It carries support for full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,312 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The chin of the device is slightly thick compared to the remaining bezels of the phone. The rear side of the phone features a 3D curved glass panel that curves towards its left and right edges.


The Nova 4e features the Kirin 710 chipset and it comes in two RAM options of 4 GB and 6 GB. The native storage available on the device is 128 GB. For accelerated GPU performance, the handset comes with support for GPU Turbo 2.0. A microSD card slot is also there on the phone. The 3,340mAh battery of the device is equipped with support for 18W rapid charging.


The selfie notch of the Huawei Nova 4e houses a 32-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. The front camera is optimised to shoot better photos in dim conditions. Also, the front camera doubles up to enable AI face unlock feature. The rear of the phone has an LED flash-enabled triple-camera unit. It comprises a 24-megapixel primary sensor, a wide-angle lens of 8-megapixel with a 120-degree field of view followed by a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The other features that are available on the Nova 4e are a rear-facing fingerprint sensor, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB-C and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It comes loaded with EMUI 9 based Android 9 Pie OS.


Huawei Nova 4e Price and Availability

The 4 GB and 6 GB editions of the Huawei Nova 4e are respectively priced at 1,999 Yuan (~Rs. 12,450) and 2,299 Yuan (~Rs. 23,850). The handset can be bought in colors like White, Black and Blue. The pre-sales of the Nova 4e begins today in China and its shipments are scheduled to start on March 21st. However, there’s no word if and when the device will be making its way to the Indian market.
