A new Huawei phone with the Nova Lite 3 moniker, has gone official in Japan. It has arrived as the successor to the Nova Lite 2 that was released in Japan in February 2018. The Nova Lite 2 was released as a rebranded version of the Huawei Smart P smartphone that was aimed towards European markets.
In the same way, the Nova Lite 3 is the rebranded edition of the Huawei P Smart (2019) smartphone that was announced for European markets in December 2018. The Nova Lite 3 is mid-range phone from the company that comes with a waterdrop-style notched display, Kirin 710 and a decent battery.
Huawei Nova Lite 3 Specifications and Features
The Nova Lite 3 come with a 6.21-inch IPS LCD panel that offers full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels. The small notch on the screen allows it to deliver an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The smartphone measures 155.2 x 73.4 x 7.95mm and it weighs 160 grams.
Huawei’s home-brewed Kirin 710 chipset powers the Nova 3 Lite along with 3GB of RAM. Instead of the 64GB of native storage available on the Smart P (2019), the Nova 3 Lite features a lower inbuilt storage of 32GB. The smartphone draws power from a 3,400mAh battery. The EMUI 8.1 based Android 9 Pie is available preinstalled on the device.
The Nova Lite 3 has a fingerprint scanner on its rear panel. A vertical dual camera setup with 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors are available on the top-left of the rear shell of the device. The front notch is the home for the 16-megpixel selfie camera. The handset is equipped with connectivity features like dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, GPS, microUSB 2.0 and 3.5mm audio jack. The device also carries support for face recognition.
Huawei Nova Lite 3 Price
The Huawei Nova Lite 3 has arrived in Japan in three colour options such as Coral Red, Aurora blue and Midnight Black. It is priced at JPY 26,880 (~Rs. 17,500). International availability is unknown at present.
