Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has launched a new mid-range device, the P Smart 2019 in Europe. The device will go on sale in Europe starting January 2nd, with shipments commencing January 11th. The P Smart 2019 is priced at 249 Euros which roughly translates to Rs 20,000. There is no word on whether the device will come to India as of now. Let’s see what the device offers out of the box.
On the display front, the P Smart 2019 flaunts a 6.21-inch bezel-less screen and bears Full HD+ resolution. The display features a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a dewdrop notch on the top. Design-wise, the P Smart 2019 is available in three gradient color options – Midnight Black, Turquoise Blue, and Aurora Blue. A fingerprint scanner is mounted at the back of the device.
The Huawei P Smart 2019 is powered by a Kirin 710 SoC. It packs 3GB RAM and offers 64GB inbuilt memory. The storage is expandable via a microSD card slot. On the software front, the phone runs Huawei’s custom EMUI 9.0 based on the latest Android 9.0 Pie OS. The P Smart 2019 is backed by a 3,400mAh battery unit with 10W fast charging support.
In the camera department, the P Smart 2019 is equipped with a dual rear camera setup. It comprises of a 13MP primary sensor accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor. An 8MP sensor is fitted up front for selfies. The camera on this device is backed by AI features for enhancing photos. The front camera also offers a face unlock feature for additional security.
Connectivity-wise, the device features a micro-USB port instead of the increasingly popular USB Type-C. It also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack for connecting audio accessories.
