Huawei has launched a new mid-range smartphone dubbed the P Smart Pro in the European markets. The phone has arrived as the rebranded version of the Huawei Y9s that was launched last month. Earlier in July, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor had also released the same smartphone as the Honor 9X in China. The P Smart Pro appears to be the successor to the Huawei P Smart (2019) that debuted in March this year. The smartphone retains most of the specifications of the Y9s and Honor 9x. Huawei P Smart Pro specifications and features
On the display front, the Huawei P Smart Pro offers a 6.59-inch LCD screen bearing full HD+ resolution. The device doesn’t have a notch and instead features a pop-up selfie camera mechanism. The smartphone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that’s embedded in the power button. The device is available in Midnight Black and Breathing Crystal colour options.
In terms of optics, the back of the phone houses a vertically stacked triple camera setup at the top left corner. It comprises of a 48MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth camera. The pop-up camera module houses a 16MP snapper for selfies. The camera offers AI features for enhancing the pictures.
The Huawei P Smart Pro is equipped with an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710F SoC. It is paired with 6GB RAM and offers 128GB native storage. The smartphone runs EMUI 9 based on Android 9 Pie OS, but there’s no word whether the phone will receive Android 10 or it has any Google apps. The P Smart Pro draws power from a 4,000mAh battery unit. On the connectivity front, the device comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C, 4G LTE, WiFi, and GPS.
Huawei P Smart Pro price and availability
The Huawei Smart Pro has been launched in select European markets likes Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Ukraine and others. The smartphone carries a price tag of around Euro 350 (~Rs 27,700). The P Smart Pro’s India launch is not known at the moment.
