The Huawei P40 Lite smartphone has gone official in Europe. It is a rebranded version of the Huawei Nova 6 SE that was announced in China in December last year. The smartphone features a punch-hole display and it is fueled by the 7nm Kirin 810 chipset. The handset is equipped with 48-megapixel quad cameras and a large battery.

The Huawei P40 Lite sports a 6.4-inch IPS LCD display that offers full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 19:9. It delivers a screen to body ratio of 90.6 percent.
Android 10 overlaid with EMUI 10 comes preinstalled on the device. Like recently launched Huawei phones, it does not come with Google apps and services. The native storage of the phone is 128GB and there is a dedicated microSD card slot for expanding its storage further.
The punch-hole display houses a selfie camera of 16-megapixels with f/2.0 aperture. There is a square-shaped rear camera module that comprises of an f/1.8 48-megapixel primary shooter, an f/2.4 8-megapixel wide-angle shooter with 120-degree field-of-view, an f/2.4 2-megapixel macro sensor with a focal length of 4cm and an f/2.4 2-megapixel depth sensor. An LED flash is placed below the camera setup.
The Kirin 810 chipset along with 6GB of RAM powers the Huawei P40 Lite. The 4,200mAh battery supports 40W SuperCharge technology. The fast charging feature allows the phone to reach a 70 percent charge in 30 minutes, according to the brand.
The Huawei P40 Lite offers connectivity options like dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, GPS, USB-C and 3.5mm headphone slot. Lastly, there is a side-facing fingerprint reader on the smartphone.
Huawei P40 Lite price and availability
The P40 Lite has arrived in Spain with a pricing of €299 (~Rs 23,600). The phone comes in three colour editions like Midnight Black, Sakura Pink and Crush Green. The pre-orders of the phone will be conducted between March 2nd and 16th and those who part take in it will be provided with freebies like a screen protector and Freebuds wireless earphones. There is no confirmation on when the device will be made available in India.
