Huawei will be introducing its latest P series flagship smartphones called the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro at an event at the end of March 2020 in Paris. The company hasn’t yet revealed anything about the specifications and features of the Huawei P40 series handsets. However, recently the popular gadget tipster @OnLeaks leaked the first images of the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro smartphones, which revealed a few details regarding the design of the upcoming Huawei offerings. The leaked images revealed that the next-gen Huawei flagships will feature a large square camera module on the back. However, the photos didn’t reveal how many cameras will be present on the back. Now, a couple of alleged press renders of the Huawei P40 Pro have been leaked online, which have revealed the complete design and a few camera details.
Huawei P40 Pro renders
As per the leaked images, the Huawei P40 Pro will flaunt as many as seven cameras. Five of them will be placed inside a square camera module on the back and two of them will be located in a pill-shaped hole on the screen. At the rear, the phone will have a main wide-angle lens, a Cine lens, a ToF camera, a periscope lens with 10x optical zoom, and a telephoto 9x optical zooming lens or an ultra-wide-angle lens. On the front, the smartphone will have a four-sided curved display and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The source hasn’t revealed anything else about the P40 Pro at the moment.
Huawei P40 Pro specifications
According to the rumour mill, the Huawei P40 Pro will come with a 6.5-inch or a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution and 90Hz screen refresh rate. The phone is said to be powered by the Kirin 990 5G chipset, which will be aided by up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The handset will boot Android 10 with EMUI 10.1 out of the box. If the US trade ban continues on Huawei, the phone will not come with any Google services pre-installed. Lastly, the Huawei P40 series is expected to be available at a starting price of around Rs 40,000.
