Huawei P50E and FreeBuds 4E TWS earbuds have been launched in China. The P50E upper mid-range phone is a new addition to the P50 family, which includes flagship devices such as the Huawei P50, P50 Pro, and P50 Pocket.

The P50E offers key features such as a 90Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 778G 4G SoC, HarmonyOS 2, and 50-megapixel triple rear cameras. The FreeBuds 4E is a toned-down version of the FreeBuds 4 TWS earbuds, which was announced back in May 2021. The FreeBuds 4E promises up to 4 hours of playback time and carries support for HarmonyOS devices.

The Huawei P50E features a 6.5-inch OLED screen that offers a Full HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, a 300Hz touch sampling rate, and a 458ppi pixel density. The display punch-hole houses a 13-megapixel selfie camera.

The oval-shaped camera module available on the backside of the Huawei P50 has two camera rings. A 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture is available in the top camera ring. The second camera ring packs an OIS-enabled 12-megapixel telephoto camera and a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera. The rear cameras are coupled with a laser focus sensor and a colour temperature sensor.

The Huawei P50E is powered by the Snapdragon 778G 4G chipset and comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. For additional storage, the device is equipped with a NM (nano memory) card slot. The P50E comes preinstalled with HarmonyOS 2 and it lacks support for Google Mobile Services (GMS).

The P50 has a 4,100mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging. The other features available on the device include dual nano-SIM support, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. Despite being a mid-range device, the Huawei P50E is IP68 rated for dust and water resistance.

The FreeBuds 4E provides users with a semi-in-ear type earbuds. Equipped with 14.3mm audio drivers, the FreeBuds 4E carries support for a frequency range of up to 40kHz. Each earbud has a 30mAh battery, and the charging case packs a 410mAh battery. With ANC enabled, it can last for up to 2.5 hours on a full charge. It promises a music playback time of up to 4 hours with ANC turned off. The playback time increases to up to 22 hours with the charging case.

The FreeBuds 4E offers a 90ms low latency mode for a lag-free experience while gaming. Some of the other features of the FreeBuds 4E include compatible with HarmonyOS devices, touch controls, gesture controls, and IP67 certified water resistance.

The Huawei P50E has arrived in China in two options, such as 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. They are priced at RMB 4,088 (~Rs 48,850) and RMB 4,488 (~Rs 53,650), respectively. The P50E comes in colours like Obsidian Black, Snow White, Galaxy Blue, and Cocoa Gold. The handset is now available for pre-orders in the home market and is scheduled to go on sale from March 24th, 2022.

The Huawei FreeBuds 4E is priced at RMB 699 (~Rs 8,350). It comes in Ceramic White and Silver Frost colours. It is unclear whether the FreeBuds 4E or Huawei P50E will be released in India.
