Huawei’s upcoming tablet for the Indian market leaked, likely to be the MediaPad T5

Huawei has been very prompt when it comes to launching new devices in the Indian market. Now it seems like the Chinese company is readying a new tablet for India. The leak comes from Ishan Agarwal, who says that Huawei is planning to launch a new tablet for India. The leak is supported by images, however, at this point in time, the name and other details are not known.

The leaked image reveals thick bezels alongside camera units on both rear and front. The tablet comes ina black color and guessing by the design, it might very well be the MediaPad T5 which was launched in China last August.

As far as specifications are concerned, the MediaPad T5 comes equipped with a 10.1-inch IPS LCD panel and offers FHD resolution. Under the hood lies a Kirin 659 SoC paired with up to 3GB of RAM. On the imaging front, the MediaPad T5 comes fitted with a 2-megapixel camera at the front and 5-megapixel camera at the back. Lastly, the tablet is backed by a 5,100mAh battery and is available in Black and Champagne Gold color options.

In China, the MediaPad T5 is available in both Wi-Fi-only and cellular variants. The Wi-Fi-only model comes with 3GB RAM+32GB storage and is priced at 1,399 Yuan (~Rs 14,114). Meanwhile, the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage version is priced at 1,599 Yuan (~Rs 16,131). As expected, the 6GB RAM + 64GB LTE variant commands a premium price tag of 1,799 Yuan (~Rs 18,148). If the device in question is the MediaPad T5, then it is quite likely that it will be priced between Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 at launch.
