Huawei MAR-LX1M UA Profile Leaked, Reveals Full HD+ Display Resolution

Update (January 30, 2019): The Huawei MAR-LX1M has made an appearance online once again. This time we have spotted the handset’s UA profile information on the Huawei website, which confirms that it will carry the Huawei branding. While the UA profile does not reveal all the key hardware specifications of the upcoming Huawei smartphone, it does confirm a few details. According to the UA profile, Huawei MAR-LX1M’s display will come with 1080 x 2312 pixels, i.e. Full HD+ resolution. The resolution does seem a little weird as no manufacturer has released a smartphone with the same resolution so far. The smartphone’s UA profile also confirms that it will ship with the Android 9.0 Pie operating system out of the box. Needless to say, you will see Huawei’s custom EMUI 9.0 user-interface running on top of Pie. Apart from these details, the UA profile does not include any other key information regarding the device. Going by the display resolution, there is a possibility of MAR-LX1M being a variant of the Huawei P30 Lite. However, we will need to wait until the rest of the smartphone’s hardware specifications are revealed to be completely sure.

Huawei may soon launch at least three new Android smartphones for the global market. Russian certification agency EEC today certified three mysterious Huawei smartphones: VOG-L29, ELE-L29, and MAR-LX1M. This is actually the first time that these three model numbers have surfaced online.

Huawei VOG-L29, ELE-L29, and MAR-LX1M Granted EEC Certification

As mentioned earlier, the VOG-L29, ELE-29, and MAR-LX1M model numbers have not been spotted on any other certification agency website so far. Sadly, this means there is absolutely no information available regarding their hardware specifications or even their marketing names. The EEC certification only lists the model number of the three devices. While the manufacturer is listed as Huawei Technologies, we cannot be completely sure if these devices will carry the Huawei or Honor branding.

Huawei is currently said to be working on the P30 and P30 Pro flagship smartphones, both of which are expected to be officially unveiled in March. It is certainly possible that two of the above-certified devices could be the P30 and P30 Pro. Rumors suggest the Huawei P30 will feature a 6.1-inch sized OLED display, while the P30 Pro model may feature a larger 6.5-inch OLED display. Both the smartphones will be powered by a 7nm Kirin 980 octa-core processor under the hood. In the memory department, Mate 20 is said to come with 8GB of RAM while the Pro model will pack a whopping 12GB of RAM. As for imaging, the standard Huawei P30 is rumored to have a similar triple-camera setup as the Mate 20 Pro. The Huawei P30 Pro, on the other hand, may feature a periscope module for a high optical zoom.

Apart from the P30 series, Huawei is also expected to showcase its first 5G smartphones at the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona. Huawei’s MWC 2019 press conference is scheduled to be held on February 24 at 2 PM CET.
