Huawei Watch D

The Huawei Watch D offers blood pressure monitoring

The Huawei Watch D sports a rectangular dial with a large 1.64-inch AMOLED screen and slightly curved edges. The display appears to be surrounded by an aluminium alloy casing and there are two physical buttons on the right side namely ‘Health’ and ‘Home’. The smartwatch is IP68 rated dust and waterproof.

Coming to fitness features, the Huawei Watch D is equipped with an optical heart rate and ECG sensor, and SpO2 monitor. It also comes with a sleep and stress tracker, breathing sessions, and body temperature monitor. The device offers support for more than 70 exercise modes. The striking feature of the Huawei Watch D is that it supports blood pressure monitoring. This is possible with an inflatable strap that can be connected to the watch through pins and to the band with rubber buttons. The accessory is offered in two sizes with the M-size strap measuring 13-16 cm whereas the L-size is 16.1 – 20 cm based on the wrist circumference.

Huawei says that to get an accurate BP reading, the user must sit in a specific position with the watch-wearing arm touching the opposite shoulder, however, the device should not touch the chest.

The Huawei Watch D runs on HarmonyOS and comes with convenient features like message reminders, voice assistant, alarm clock, and more. The smartwatch draws its power from a 451mAh battery unit with support for wireless charging. It is claimed to deliver 7 days of usage on a single charge. The device supports Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity and is compatible with devices running Android 6.0 and iOS 9.0 or above.

The smartwatch comes with a bundled wireless charging base, L and M-sized straps, airbag, and cover.
