The ‘Notify Me’ button for the Huawei Watch GT2 just went live in India today, ahead of the launch of the wearable at some point in December. Interested customers can register to get a notification once the wearable launches in the country. To register, you can visit the Watch GT2 product page on Huawei’s website, and choose either Amazon or Flipkart’s landing page for the product. Then you can register to receive the launch notification using your Amazon account. At the time of writing the story, Flipkart hasn’t kicked off the registration process. At launch, the wearable will be available on all online portals as well as across Huawei’s offline partners.
The announcement came soon after Huawei India launched its Kirin A1 chipset, which is especially designed for wearable devices. Huawei claims the A1 processor lays the foundation of seamless connectivity and smart wearable technology for its users in the country. The Huawei Watch GT2 is the first device to be powered by the Kirin A1 processor. The smartwatch was made official for the global markets at the IFA 2019 tech trade show in September.
