Earlier this year, Huawei introduced the Y6 Prime (2019) smartphone in China. Now, the company has added yet another Y-series handset to its portfolio. The brand has launched the Huawei Y6s in the Philippines. The handset has arrived as a budget offering with almost non-existent bezels and a waterdrop notch above the screen. The entry-level smartphone also comes with an appealing design featuring a two-tone finish on the back. The Huawei Y6s is based on Android 9 Pie and has a layer of EMUI 9.1 on top, and comes with face unlock functionality and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.

The Huawei Y6s comes with a 6.09-inch TFT LCD display bearing a resolution of 1,560 x 720 pixels and a pixel density of 283ppi. The phone is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 processor. The handset comes in two RAM and storage configurations including 3GB + 32GB and 3GB + 64GB. At the rear, the phone has a 13MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture, autofocus, and an LED flash unit. On the front, the device has an 8MP selfie snapper with an aperture of f/2.0. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and A-GPS. A 3,020mAh battery completes the list of the specifications.

The Huawei Y6s will be available in the Philippines at the starting price of PHP 6,999 (~Rs 9,850). The phone comes in Orchid Blue and Starry Black colour variants.
