Huawei Y8s with dual selfie cameras and Kirin 710 goes official

Huawei recently listed its latest mid-range Y-series offering, the Y9s in India on Amazon India, hinting that the launch of the smartphone is close at hand. Now, the brand has listed yet another Y-series device on its official website in Jordan called the Y8s.

The Huawei Y8s features a wide iPhone-style notch in the front with dual selfie cameras. It also comes with two cameras on the back. It sports a stylish design, 48MP primary camera, and more as its highlights. Here’s everything that the smartphone will offer to its users.

The Huawei Y8s ships with a 6.5-inch TFT LCD display featuring 2,340 x 1,080 pixels screen resolution. Driving the performance of the handset is an outdated HiSilicon Kirin 710 chipset with 4GB RAM. The brand is offering the handset in two storage options – 64GB and 128GB, with an option to increase storage through microSD card. The handset boots EMUI 9.1 based on Android 9 Pie, and also comes with Google apps and services.

The camera department include four cameras, two each on the front and back of the smartphone. The primary camera on the rear panel is a 48-megapixel f/1.8 unit backed by 2-megapixel f/2.4 secondary depth sensor for the background blur. The front camera setup comprises of an 8MP f/2.0 primary shooter, also accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor. The camera app is loaded with features like Super Night Shot, AI scene recognition, AI selfie features and more.

Lastly, the smartphone is backed by a 4,000mAh battery, which unfortunately is missing out on fast charging support.

Huawei Y8s price and availability

Huawei is offering the Y8s in Emerald Greem and Midnight Black colour options. There is no word on the pricing and availability as of now.
