Huawei Y9s will reportedly feature a 6.59-inch display, 6GB RAM and 48MP triple rear cameras

In August, Huawei introduced the Y9 Prime (2019) phone. Now, the company is planning to launch a new Y series smartphone called the Huawei Y9s in the near future, as suggested by various reports. While the brand hasn’t yet officially confirmed the existence of the Huawei Y9s, a promotional poster of the handset has been leaked on the interwebs. The promo image has revealed a handful of specifications and images of the Huawei Y9s. The leak suggests that the Y9s could be a variant of the Honor 9X Pro that was launched earlier.

Huawei Y9s specifications and features

As per the promotional poster of the Huawei Y9s, the phone will flaunt an all-screen fascia with almost non-existent bezels on the sides and top, and a slim chin at the bottom. The handset will feature a pop-up selfie camera that will be placed on the top-left. The device’s fingerprint sensor will be placed on the right side under the power button. At the rear, the phone is tipped to offer a triple primary camera setup and a gradient finish. Lastly, the images suggest that the smartphone will feature a USB Type-C port, a speaker grille, and a 3.5mm headphone socket.

Talking about the features, the promo image has suggested that the Huawei Y9s will feature a 6.59-inch Ultra FullView display. At the rear, the device will flaunt a 48-megapixel AI-powered triple camera module. Configuration-wise, the phone will feature 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The brand could also offer the device in a few other memory variants.

Unfortunately, the other specs of the Huawei Y9s are not available at the moment. However, we can expect it to come with a Kirin chipset, a beefy battery, and EMUI on top of Android Pie. We will inform you about the Huawei Y9s’ features, pricing, and availability details as soon as the brand officially announces anything, so stay tuned.
