Indian Gadget Awards 2020: winners for the television category

Votes are in! The Indian Gadget Awards 2020, a collaboration between 21 tech publications and YouTube channels with a total of 30 jury members has finally come to an end. The first-of-its-kind initiative and the largest tech award event in the history of India has witnessed multiple awards across categories like smartphones, laptops, televisions, and more.

Televisions have always been a part of Indian household, and have gained new significance due to the lockdown. Brands like Xiaomi, OnePlus, Realme, and others have commendable offerings in the market starting from budget to premium offerings. The Indian Gadget Awards 2020 divided the most popular television offerings in the country into two categories. Let’s take a look at the winners.

Best value-for-money TV of 2020

Xiaomi disrupted the Indian TV market with its affordable, value-for-money offerings and soon everyone followed suit. As a result, we had a total of seven nominees from brands like Xiaomi, OnePlus, Realme, Motorola, TCL, VU, and Samsung. The competition got interesting as there was a tie between OnePlus U1 and Mi TV 4A 43-inch Horizon Edition. The OnePlus U1 emerged victorious, while the Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition was declared runner up.

Winner: OnePlus U1

Runner Up: Xiaomi Mi TV 4A 43-inch Horizon Editon

Best TV of 2020

Brands like Sony, Samsung, and LG have been the prominent names when it comes to premium, high-end televisions which offer best-in-class features.  Our jury voted LG GX has the best television of the year 2020, whereas the Sony X9000H was announced the runner up.
