After launching its flagship product Mi 5 and its sibling Mi 5s, Xiaomi is all set to launch a younger sibling of these flagship devices – Mi 5c. It would be a great delight for users who prefer to own a 5-inch smartphone. As per the current speculations, the Mi 5c will sport a 5-inch Full HD IPS display.
It’s been quite a long time since Xiaomi launched a high-end smartphone for the global market. Last high-end smartphone company unveiled was the Xiaomi Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus. Although, the company launched the Mi Note 2 at the end of last year, but it was launched for the Chinese market only. Now Xiaomi Mi 5c, an affordable flagship is about to arrive in the market.
The specs and other details of the devices were already floating online, thanks to the 3C certification listing. Now, few images of the device are also emerged online revealing a gorgeous smartphone. According to the images, the Mi 5c has full metal unibody design but without a brushed metal finish, unlike to Mi 5s. It has front fingerprint scanner mounted on the home button and camera located at the top left corner of the back panel.
Talking about the specs, the Mi 5c will be powered by the Snapdragon 625 chipset, which is known as the most power efficient processor to ever come from Qualcomm’s garage. It also gets a 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 128GB.
As for the camera section, the Mi 5c features a 12-megapixel rear camera accompanied with a LED flash and an 8-megapixel front facing camera for capturing selfies. The phone is expected to run MIUI 8 out-of-the-box which built on top of Android Nougat. There’s no confirmation about the device or the launch date from the company, but we’re hoping it to be launched in Q1 of 2017.
