The Infinix Concept Phone 2021 has been announced during the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2021 tech show. Recent reports claimed that Infinix is working on a high-end phone called Zero X that carries support for 160W fast charging. This phone has now been made official as the Infinix Concept Phone 2021.
The Concept Phone 2021 features advanced specs, however, it comes with a surprisingly mid-range Helio G95 SoC. It sports a curved edge display on the front, while the back panel is equipped with colour-changing technology.
Infinix Concept Phone 2021 specifications and features
The Infinix Concept 2021 features a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ panel with an 88º curvature towards the left and right edges. The glass back is also equally curved towards the edges, with the letters “NOW” covering the rear shell. Backed by electrochromic and electroluminescent technologies, the Concept Phone 2021’s rear shell can change colours from silver-grey to light blue for notifications like an incoming call. In addition, the ring of the letter “O” illuminates when it is being charged. The device does not have any physical buttons.
The concept phone by Infinix has a 4,000mAh battery. and thanks to blazing-fast 160W Ultra Flash Charge technology, it can be fully charged in just 10 minutes. The 8C battery not only charges faster, but also produce less heat as per the brand. The company claims that the Concept Phone 2021 is equipped with 20 temperature sensors that keeps the phone’s temperature under 40º Celsius while charging. The Super Charge Pump tech converts incoming voltage through the USB Type-C port to voltage that goes into the battery with an efficiency rate of 98.6 percent.
The 160W charger is built with Gallium Nitrate (GaN) and Silicon Carbide (SIC) semiconductors, which allows it to sport a compact design. The 160W charger can also be used for charging a laptop. The concept phone also supports 50W fast wireless charging.
For selfies, the Infinix Concept Phone 2021 has a 32-megapixel camera placed inside the display punch-hole. The back panel of the phone has a triple camera unit that is led by a 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree FOV, and an 8-megapixel periscope telephoto camera that offers up to 60x digital zoom.
The Concept Phone 2021 is driven by MediaTek’s Helio G95 chip and 8GB of RAM. It offers an internal storage of 128GB and runs on Android 11 OS. For security, it features an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
Infinix Concept Phone 2021 release date
Since the Infinix Concept Phone 2021 is a concept device, it appears that there are no plans to release the product in the market. The company is likely to incorporate some of its technologies on upcoming Infinix phones.
