Infinix S5 Lite goes on sale in India priced at Rs 7,999

Last week, Infinix Mobility added a new S series smartphone to its inventory in India by launching the Infinix S5 Lite. At the launch, the company didn’t announce when the phone will be available in the country and only revealed the pricing of the device. Today, the brand has finally started selling the Infinix S5 Lite in India. The phone is available on the e-commerce portal Flipkart. The Infinix S5 Lite has been priced competitively at Rs 7,999, and is being offered in three attractive colour variants including Midnight Black, Quetzal Cyan and Violet.

The Infinix S5 Lite is one of the most affordable smartphones in India to flaunt a triple primary camera setup at the rear and a punch-hole display. The phone has a 6.55-inch Infinity-O LCD IPS display bearing a resolution of 1,600 x 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The device is powered by MediaTek’s Helio P22 octa-core processor that offers a maximum clock speed of 2.0GHz. The smartphone is equipped with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, which you can further expand up to 256GB by inserting a microSD card.

For photography, the Infinix S5 Lite has a 16-megapixel primary camera at the rear. It is accompanied by a 2-megapixel lens for depth sensing functionality and a low light lens. On the front, the phone has a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling, which is placed inside the hole in the top-left corner of the smartphone. The front shooter of the handset is artificial intelligence-powered, and it offers f/2.0 aperture and face unlock functionality.

Design-wise, the Infinix S5 Lite sports a premium-looking appealing design, thanks to a sparkling plastic back panel. There’s a fingerprint sensor on the back of the device for additional security. Software-wise, the device boots the brand’s XOS 5.5, which is based on Android 9.0 Pie. In terms of connectivity, the phone has dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, a micro-USB port, and A-GPS with GLONASS. A 4,000mAh battery keeps the whole package alive.
