Infinix has teased a new budget smartphone for the Indian market today. The Infinix S5 Lite comes under the Rs 10,000 segment and has premium features like triple rear cameras, a punch-hole display and a big battery. The phone is the successor to the Infinix S5 which was launched in October this year. The phone also featured a punch-hole display and four cameras on the back. Design-wise, the smartphones are similar and the price range doesn’t differ much either. The Infinix S5 Lite is speculated to be the most affordable smartphone with a punch-hole display. The Infinix S5 Lite sports a 6.6-inch HD+ (720 x 1,600 pixels) Infinity-O display panel. The phone has a slightly broader chin but the bezels around the sides aren’t evident. The punch-hole display has a selfie camera placed inside it, so it doesn’t need a notch. Performance-wise, it features the MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The hardware on the phone is identical to the Infinix S5 smartphone. However, the core difference lies in its camera setup.

The Infinix S5 Lite has an AI triple rear camera set up. It includes a 16MP primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 4-in-1 pixel binning technology, a 2MP secondary lens and a 5MP QVGA sensor. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the back for security and login. For selfies and video calling, the device has a 32MP snapper. The phone relies on a 4,000mAh battery which supports Xcharge fast charging. It runs the Android 9 Pie-based XOS 5.5 and features a 3.5mm headphone jack.
