On: January 28, 2020

Infinix had launched the Infinix S5 and S5 Lite in India late last year. Now, the brand is gearing up to launch another variant in the S5 lineup dubbed as the Infinix S5 Pro. At a media briefing today, Infinix officially announced that it will launch the upcoming smartphone in the country in the third week of February. While no exact date has been revealed yet, we can expect the brand to make an announcement soon. The S5 Pro will arrive as the successor to the standard S5. Just like the previous devices in the S5 lineup, the upcoming device will also carry an affordable price tag.

Infinix S5 Pro specifications and features

The Infinix S5 Pro is confirmed to feature a pop-up selfie camera located at the top right corner. It will be available in two colour options, green and violet. On the front, the smartphone has a thick bottom bezel. The volume rocker and power buttons are located on the right side. Since the upcoming smartphone will arrive as the successor to the S5, we can expect it to come with upgraded specifications. A recent report on Infinix’s upcoming pop-up selfie camera phone had revealed that it would sport a price tag below Rs 10,000. If Infinix does price it this way, it would be the cheapest phone to come with a pop-up selfie camera.

Infinix S5 and S5 Lite specifications and features

The Infinix S5 is the cheapest smartphone with a punch-hole display and a quad-camera setup. To recall the technical specifications, the device features a 6.6-inch HD+ display and offers a 90.5 percent screen-to-body ratio. The back panel houses a physical fingerprint scanner and quad-camera setup comprising of 16MP + 5MP + 2MP + 2MP sensors. On the front, the device is fitted with a 32MP selfie snapper.

Infinix S5 and S5 Lite are affordable handsets

The Infinix S5 is powered by a Helio P22 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card slot. The device is backed by a 4,000mAh battery unit and runs Android 9 Pie with XOS 5.5 layered on the top.

As for the S5 Lite, the smartphone retains most of the specifications of the standard variant. The only difference between the two is that the former sports a triple rear camera setup of 16MP + 2MP + 5MP sensors. Also, the S5 Lite comes with a 16MP front snapper instead of a 32MP sensor.

Both the Infinix S5 and S5 Lite are available for purchase on Flipkart. The former is priced at Rs 8,999 while the latter retails at Rs 7,999.
