Infinix Smart 2 Launched with 18:9 Display, 16 GB Storage and Rs. 5,999 Pricing

Transmission Holdings that owns the Infinix smartphone brand has launched a new smartphone called Infinix Smart 2. With an enticing price tag of Rs. 5,999, the Smart 2 has arrived to take on the likes of Redmi 5A and Samsung Galaxy On5 that carries a similar pricing. Unlike its competitors, the Infinix Smart 2 features an 18:9 aspect ratio display.

Infinix Smart 2 Specifications and Features

The Infinix Smart 2 features a 5.45-inch IPS LCD display that produces HD+ resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. It offers a screen-to-body ratio of 83 percent. The MediaTek MT6739 SoC that includes 1.5 GHz octa-core processor is present under the hood of the Smart 2. It comes in two models such as 16 GB storage + 2 GB RAM and 32 GB storage + 3 GB RAM. It also features a microSD card slot.

The Android 8.1 Oreo OS is preinstalled on the phone along XOS 3.0 skin. The handset draws power from a 3,050mAh battery. According to Infinix, the Smart 2 offers 4G talk time of 21 hours by charging to the full.

The frontside of the phone features f/2.0 aperture selfie camera of 8-megapixel. The rear panel of the phone is fitted with f/2.0 aperture 13-megapixel camera. The rear snapper is equipped with features like PDAF and LED flash. The other features that are available on the Infinix Smart 2 include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and microUSB.

Infinix Smart 2 Pricing

The Infinix Smart 2 will be exclusively available online through Flipkart starting from Aug. 10. The 16 GB and 32 GB storage variants of the Smart 2 are respectively priced at Rs. 5,999 and Rs. 6,999. The color variants of the smartphone include Bordeaux Red, City Blue, Sandstone Black and Serene Gold.
