Last month, Infinix launched the Infinix Smart 4 Plus in India. Now the brand has quietly launched a new device in its Smart series. The latest offering is dubbed as Infinix Smart 5 and arrives as the successor to the Smart 4. The device has been listed on the brand’s official website.

The Infinix Smart 5 seems to be an entry-level device going by the specifications. It features triple rear cameras, a waterdrop notch, gradient back panel and a 5,000mAh battery unit. Let’s find out what the smartphone has in store for us.
Infinix Smart 5 specifications and features
The Infinix Smart 5 sports a 6.6-inch waterdrop notch display bearing HD+ resolution. It is equipped with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a rectangular camera module. The device features a gradient back panel in three colours with a gem-cut pattern. On the camera front, the Infinix Smart 5 comes with an 8MP front-facing snapper. The rear camera setup consists of a 13MP primary shooter paired with two 2MP sensors.
Internally, the Infinix Smart 5 is powered by an unspecified 1.8GHz octa-core processor. It packs 3GB RAM and offers 64GB onboard storage expandable up to 256GB via microSD card slot. The smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 10W charging. Software-wise, the Infinix Smart 5 runs Android 10 (Go edition) out of the box. In terms of connectivity, the device offers dual-SIM 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm jack and a micro-USB port.
Infinix Smart 5 pricing and availability
Infinix hasn’t revealed the pricing and availability of the Smart 5 in India yet. The Indian variant is listed with 3GB RAM and 64GB storage. In Nigeria, the phone is being offered in a 2GB + 32GB configuration at a price tag of ₦ 39,500 (~Rs 7,700). We expect the smartphone to be priced similarly in India.
