Infinix Zero 8i with Helio G90T and 90Hz display launched: price, specifications

Last month, Infinix had launched the Zero 8 smartphone in Indonesia. It’s a mid-range device with a few premium specifications. Now the brand has announced a toned-down variant of the smartphone in Pakistan. The latest offering is dubbed as Infinix Zero 8i.

The Infinix Zero 8i retains all the specifications and design from the Zero 8 apart from a downgraded rear and front camera configuration. The smartphone features the Helio G90T processor, 90Hz refresh rate and a 33W fast charging support as its highlights.

The Infinix Zero 8i sports a display measuring 6.85-inches with FHD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and a pill-shaped punch-hole cutout. The device features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button. The Zero 8i has a gradient back panel housing a diamond-shaped camera module in the centre. 

The quad-camera setup on the Infinix Zero 8i consists of a 48MP main sensor accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide shooter, a 2MP unit and a dedicated AI lens. On the front, the punch-hole cutout accommodates a 16MP snapper along with an 8MP ultra-wide unit. 

Under the hood, the Infinix Zero 8i is equipped with the gaming-centric MediaTek Helio G90T processor. It is backed by Mali-G76 GPU and liquid cooling technology. The device packs 8GB RAM and offers 128GB internal storage, which is expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot. 

The Infinix Zero 8i runs on a 4,500mAh battery unit with 33W fast charging. It ships with Android 10-based XOS 7 out of the box. The smartphone offers connectivity options like dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3.5mm jack.

The Infinix Zero 8i is priced at PKR 34,999 (~Rs 15,644), which is less than the Zero 8. At the moment, there’s no word if the smartphone will arrive in India.
