Intex Aqua HD 5.5 Launched With Android Marshmallow At Rs 5,637

The fourth largest smartphone maker in India, Intex has just launched another budget smartphone in India. Intex Aqua HD 5.5 is another dual SIM device from Intex Aqua family.


Intex Aqua HD 5.5 sports a 5.5-Inch 1280×720 pixels HD IPS display with 267 PPI of pixel density. It is powered by MediaTek MT6580w quad core processor clocked at 1.3GHz assisted with Mali-400MP GPU and 1GB of RAM. The phone features a 5-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 5-megapixel selfie camera at front. The onboard storage available in the device is 8GB which can be further increased by a MicroSD upto card upto 32GB.

The device packs a 2,800mAh battery with a standby time up to 450 hours. Intex Aqua HD 5.5 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and comes with an Emergency Rescue and Silent Key feature. It also comes pre-loaded with apps like Opera Mini, Saavn, Newshunt, Matrabhasha and LFTY. The Emergency Rescue feature comes in line with direction of Government of India to have a compulsory panic button on all mobile phones.

Intex Aqua HD 5.5 is a dual SIM 3G phone which is surprising as every other smartphone manufacturer is pushing toward 4G and VoLTE technology supported phones.

The Intex Aqua HD 5.5 is currently available in two colors – Champagne and Blue and is price at Rs 5,637. The availability of the device has not been disclosed yet but we will keep you updating about that. Intex also launched another device, Intex Aqua Strong 5.1 for Rs 5990.
