Intex Aqua Lions 4G Launched in India; Priced at Rs 5,499

Intex recently added yet another entry-level smartphone in its Aqua line. The smartphone in question is called the Intex Aqua Lions 4G, a successor to last year’s Aqua Lions 3G. In the past couple of weeks or so, Intex came up with a slew of affordable Android smartphones in India. Intex held an event last week in Mumbai where it introduced new Aqua series phones — the Intex Aqua 4.0 4G, Aqua Crystal and Aqua Supreme+. For now, let’s maintain our focus to Intex’s latest offering — the Aqua Lions 4G, priced at Rs 5,499.

Design-wise, the Intex Aqua Lions 4G comes with a plastic body. It measures 143.8mm in height, 72mm in width and 9.8mm in thickness. It weighs 146.7g with battery included. The device comes in two colour options — Grey and Champagne. The top up has a 3.5mm audio jack whereas the bottom has a microUSB port. The right side features standard volume rocker and power button whereas the left has a Dual-SIM card tray. The back of the phone has a protruding camera lens and speaker grills at the bottom.

Up front, the Intex Aqua Lions 4G comes with 5-inch (12.7 cm) two-point multi-touch display 854 x 480 pixels FWVGA resolution and 196 PPI pixel density. The phone is powered by a 1.3GHz Spreadtrum SC9832A quad-core chip, 1GB RAM, and Mali-400 GPU for graphics. It packs an 8GB internal memory, out of which around 4.7GB is user-available. The built-in storage, however, is expandable up to 64GB as a result of a microSD card support.

The Intex Aqua Lions 4G features a 5MP rear camera with LED flash as well as a 2MP front-facing shooter for selfies. Furthermore, it has a 2000mAh battery under the hood, which claimed to offer up to 350 hours standby time and 8 hours talk time. The phone bundles Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. It comes with a number of sensors like G-sensor, proximity, and light. The set of supported connectivity options includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and FM radio.
