Indian smartphone maker Intex has launched yet another 4G smartphone – Intex Aqua Prime 4G. It is the fourth smartphone the company launched this month including Intex Aqua Strong 5.1+, Intex Aqua Trend Lite, and Intex Aqua 4G Mini. All of these phones come under same price bracket of Rs 6000 and offer similar specs. It seems like Intex is following a pretty aggressive strategy to expand its portfolio in the budget segment.
Coming back to Intex Aqua Prime 4G, it puts on a 5.5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The display has a pixel density of 269 PPI and gets a TP protection film glass. The performance of the device is based on a quad-core 32-bit MediaTek MT6735P processor clocked at 1GHz and coupled with 1GB of RAM. It has 8GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 32GB with a MicroSD card.
The phone houses an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and dual-tone LED flash. On the front, it features a 2-megapixel snapper which is also accompanied with a single LED flash. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and draws its power from a 2800mAh Li-Polymer battery. The company claims the battery to provide 500 hours of standby time and 11 hours of talktime.
Intex Aqua Prime 4G also comes with all the standard apps such as Game Store, Video Store, Tap N Buy, Vistoso, and Mifon which you will see in most of the Intex phones. The phone get all sorts of connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, audio jack, 4G LTE and microUSB.
The phone is already listed on the company’s official website with a price tag of Rs 6,555. It comes in white, grey and champagne colour options and will be available across offline stores throughout the nation. Although, Redmi 4A offers much better specs at a lower price but unfortunately Xiaomi doesn’t have that much offline presence.
