Intex Elyt Dual Launched: Dual-Selfie Cameras at Rs. 6,999

The trend of dual-rear cameras began with the launch of iPhone 7 Plus and now it has become a norm for every smartphone. Similarly, phone manufacturer’s obsession with selfie cameras have made them add two cameras on the front. Indian home-grown brand Intex has launched Elyt Dual, a smartphone that packs in dual-selfie cameras at an astonishing price of just Rs. 6,999. It will be available for purchase through online as well as offline retailers. Let’s take a look at what specifications and features of Intex Elyt Dual.

In terms of display, the phone has got a 5-inch HD IPS display that produces a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It also has a 2.5D glass on top for a better user experience. Given the phone size, it bears a compact form factor which should be comfortable to hold.

Coming to the most major aspect of the phone, its cameras. On the rear, it has got an 8-megapixel shooter which is accompanied by a flash for low-light photography. As mentioned earlier, it has got two cameras on the front, an 8-megapixel sensor is coupled with another 2-megapixel one for better selfies. The same purpose is also served with the help of some software modes in its camera app. While clicking selfies, you get to choose between different modes such as Bokeh effect, Background change effect and 3D noise reduction effect along with a bunch of other filters to aid good selfies.

On the performance front, the phone packs in decent specifications to justify its price tag. You get a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and a 32-bit Spreadtrum 850 chipset to run the show in this budget phone. The processor is coupled with 2GB of RAM to allow multi-tasking. To store files, there’s 16GB of storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.

The dual-selfie camera smartphone comes with a 2400mAh battery which shall last close to a day depending on your usage. It comes with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box but the status of Oreo update is still unknown at this point.

Ishita Bansal, Intex’s mobile product-head said, “We promise you that ‘ELYT Dual’ is the best dual-camera smartphone in the sub 7K category for the Indian consumers”. Hoping for this claim to be true when the phones comes in hands of the end-users.
