Intex launches two new affordable phones with Android Nougat

Intex today expanded its Aqua lineup of smartphones with two new entry-level devices: the Aqua A4 and Aqua Zenith. The key attraction, both the handsets run Google’s most recent Android Nougat software out of the box and support VoLTE. Both the Intex Aqua A4 and the Aqua Zenith are up for grabs at Rs 4,199 and Rs 4,999 respectively. The Intex Aqua comes in black colour, boasting of an 11.2mm thick bulky-looking plastic body with textured back and weighing in at 119.5g.

Up front, the Intex Aqua A4 sports a 4-inch (10.16cm) 480p display featuring 60 percent screen-to-body ratio and 245 PPI pixel density. Inside are Spreadtrum SC9832 quad-core processor ticking at 1.3GHz, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. For cameras, it houses a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel selfie camera. The battery is rated at 1,750mAh, claiming up to 250 hours of standby time and up to 4-6 hours of talk time.

The Intex Aqua Zenith, on the other hand, flaunts a plastic unibody and boasts of a 9.55mm thickness. Available in Classy Gold and Black colours, it has a 5-inch 480p screen with 72.60 percent screen-to-body ratio and 296 PPI pixel density. Powering it is MediaTek’s MT6737M chip alongside Mali-T720 MP1 GPU, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of expandable storage. It offers a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. It packs a 2,000mAh battery under the hood.

Last month, Intex launched a weird-sounding Elyt-e1 with a fingerprint scanner. The phone is retailing in the country at Rs 6,999.
