The new iPad Pro has launched in India today in 11-inch and 12.9-inch sizes. These new iPads are powered by the M1 chip, which fuels Apple products like MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and Mac Mini. Apart from powerful performance, the new iPads promise a stellar viewing experience thanks to the all-new Liquid Retina XDR display.

The 2021 iPad Pro models are equipped with support for 5G connectivity. Some of the other exciting features include improved camera experience, up to 16GB of RAM, massive storage of up to 2TB, optimized iPadOS version, Thunderbolt support, and Face ID.

The 11-inch iPad Pro has an IPS LED-backlit Liquid Retina Display that offers 2,388 x 1,668 pixels resolution, whereas the 12.9-inch iPad Pro has an IPS mini-LED backlit Liquid Retina XDR display that supports 2,732 x 2,048 pixels resolution and full-array local dimming. Both iPad Pro models offer features like up to 1,000 nits of full-screen brightness, 1,600 nits of peak brightness, 100,000:1 contrast ratio., ProMotion, True Tone, P3 wide color gamut, HDR, and Dolby Vision. These tablets are also equipped with support for 2nd generation Apple Pencil.

The 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models with 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB of storage come with 8GB of RAM. On the other hand, the 1TB and 2TB variants of both tablets offer users 16GB of RAM. Compared to the Apple A12Z Bionic chip, which fuelled the 12.9-inch iPad Pro (2020), the new M1 powered 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro delivers up to 50 precent fast CPU performance and up to 40 percent quicker GPU performance.

Placed on the front is a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 122-degree FOV. Apart from Face ID support, the TrueDepth camera offers features like advanced bokeh, portrait lighting, 60fps 1080p video recording, time-lapse video with stabilisation, and Retina Flash. The rear-facing camera system has a 12-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 10-megapixel ultrawide lens with a 125-degree FOV. The dual-camera setup supports 2x optical zoom, panorama, autofocus, auto image stabilisation, stereo recording, 120fps 1080p slow-motion video shooting, and 60fps 4kK video recording.

The 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models run iPadOS 14, which is optimised to take advantage of the capabilities of the M1 chip. Both models are powered by 28.65Wh and 40.88Wh batteries, respectively. The other features that can be found on both models include quad speakers, LiDar scanner, Thunderbolt / USB 4 port, eSIM (LTE), Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.0.

The 11-inch iPad Pro variants such as 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB are priced at Rs 71,900, Rs 80,900, Rs 98,900, Rs 1,34,900, and Rs 1,70,900. It comes in two colours such as Silver and Space Grey.

On the other hand, the 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB editions of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro are priced at Rs 99,900, Rs 1,08,900, Rs 1,26,900, Rs 1,62,900, and Rs 1,98,900, respectively. It also comes in Silver and Space Grey hues. The availability of the 2021 iPad Pro models are yet to be confirmed.
