iPhone 13 Pro, Pro Max, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 11 officially discontinued in India

  • Apple has discontinued four older iPhone models
  • The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max variants will be available until stocks last
  • The other two devices are the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 Mini

Four iPhone models have officially been discontinued by Apple. This comes after the launch of the latest generation iPhone 14 lineup yesterday. The Cupertino-based tech giant has discontinued last year’s iPhone 13 Pro, Pro Max, iPhone 12 Mini, and iPhone 11.

Alongside discontinuing older models, Apple has also slashed the prices of the iPhone 13, 13 Mini, and iPhone 12. This doesn’t come as a surprise since Apple follows the tradition of discontinuing and slashing prices of old iPhone models whenever the new-generation iPhone lineup is unveiled.

Apple discontinues four iPhone models

The iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 12 Mini, and iPhone 11 are no longer available on Apple’s official website. However, they will continue to remain available across major online and offline retailers as long as stocks last.

Apple follows the norm of discontinuing the older Pro models once their successors with powerful specifications have arrived. Usually, the newer Pro models are priced the same or with a slight price increase. However, this year things are different with both the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max being expensive by Rs 10,000 compared to their predecessors at launch. The latest generation Pro and Pro Max variants starts at Rs 1,29,900 and Rs 1,39,900 respectively.

Apart from the iPhone 13 Pro models, Apple has also discontinued the two-year-old iPhone 12 Mini. This makes the iPhone 13 Mini the only compact phone offered by the brand. The iPhone 11 that debuted way back in 2019 will also be no longer available after it goes out of stock. The iPhone 12 will remain the cheapest entry point for the modern-day iPhone. The device carries a starting price tag of Rs 59,900 after the permanent price cut.
