Apple confirms working on a fix for iPhone 14 Pro horizontal lines display issue
In December 2022, some iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max users started seeing green and yellow horizontal lines on the screen while turning on or unlocking the device. The lines do not have an effect on usage since they do not appear while using the phone.
In recent weeks, a number of users of the Pro models have encountered the same issue. It is not clear if the problem started after the iOS 16.2 update went out or before.
Software fix coming soon
The memo accessed by the publication reads, “[Users may] report that when they power on or unlock their phone, they briefly see horizontal lines flash across the screen.” It further states, “Apple is aware of the issue, and a software update is coming soon that will resolve the issue.”
Apple is currently working on iOS 16.3. It is being tested with developers and people who have enrolled in the public beta program. The iOS 16.3 update is unlikely to be released soon. Hence, there is a possibility that the company may rollout the iOS 16.1.2 update in the next few days to resolve the horizontal lines issue and other bugs, if any.
