Apple iPhone 15 CAD renders have appeared in a report by 9to5 Mac Authority. To recall, the same publication released the CAD renders of the iPhone 15 Pro last week. The new renders give a good look at the iPhone 15 series, which is expected to launch in September this year.

According to rumours, the iPhone 15 lineup will include four models: the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max/Ultra. The images shared by the publication showcase the design changes that will be seen on the iPhone 15. Continue reading ahead to know what to expect from the vanilla model.

The iPhone 15 CAD renders show that it will not feature a display notch. Last year, Apple released the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus with notched displays, whereas the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max came equipped with a new display design called the Dynamic Island. As can be seen in the renders, the iPhone 15 will also have a Dynamic Island display.

As far as display size is concerned, the iPhone 15 will have a 6.2-inch OLED screen, which is a bit bigger than most base model iPhones. There is no word on the screen resolution or refresh rate yet. Like the vanilla model, the Dynamic Island will also be available on other members of the iPhone 15 series.

The renders also show that the iPhone 15 has a USB Type-C port at the bottom for charging. Hence, it appears that Apple will finally ditch the dated Lightning port on the iPhone 15 series. The inclusion of the USB Type-C port is expected to support faster charging and data transfer speeds.

The iPhone 15 renders further reveal that it will continue to have a dual-camera setup on the back. The Pro models are expected to feature a triple camera unit with a LiDAR sensor. The power button can be seen on the right side of the device, whereas its left edge has the volume buttons and a mute switch. The iPhone 15 does not seem to have capacitive buttons, which indicates that they could be exclusive to the Pro models. While the report has revealed almost everything about the design of the iPhone 15, it has not revealed anything about its specifications.
