iPhone 15 series is likely to arrive with some improvements in the design, claims tipster ShrimpApplePro. Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 15 series in September 2023. Even though the launch is several months away, the rumour mill has been constantly leaking information about its key features.

According to rumours, the 2023 iPhone lineup will include the iPhone SE 4, iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The SE model is expected to debut in the first half of 2023. Some reports have claimed that Apple may ditch the “Max” branding from the topmost iPhone 15 series. Hence, there is a possibility that the said device may arrive in the market with the iPhone 15 Ultra moniker. According to the tipster, the iPhone 15 may arrive with a new border design. When viewed from the back, the rear shells of the iPhone 14, iPhone 13, and iPhone 12 series have squarish corners. The leak states that the back panel of the iPhone 15 series will have rounded corners.

The iPhone 14 and 14 Plus feature an aluminium frame, while the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max have a stainless steel frame. As per the new leak, the iPhone 15 series will have a titanium build. Since titanium is more expensive than stainless steel, it appears that only the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max may feature a titanium frame. The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus may feature a stainless steel frame.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of a premium build for the iPhone 15 Pro models. LeaksApplePro also stated in October that the titanium chassis will be seen on the next-generation iPhones.

A recent report revealed that all four iPhone 15 models will come with a USB Type-C port. However, only the Pro model will support high transfer speeds since these devices will support the USB 3.2 standard. The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus may offer only USB 2.0 speeds, which is equivalent to what’s available via the Lightning port. Another report claimed that the iPhone 15 Pro models will have solid-state power and volume buttons instead of physical buttons.
