Several reports have revealed that Apple is working on the successor edition for the iPhone SE 2020. At present, there is no official on the final moniker of the device. Probably, it will be called iPhone SE 3 or iPhone SE 2022. One of the major attractions of the device will be that it will carry support for 5G connectivity.

iPhone SE 3, two new iPads imported to India

According to the publication, the iPhone SE 3 with model numbers A595, A783, and A2784 have been imported to India for testing. The import data reveals pricing of $300 (~Rs 22,500) for the device. It may not be the actual selling price of the device since the predecessor iPhone SE 2020 carried a starting price of Rs 42,500.

The report also reveals that an upcoming budget iPad and a new iPad Air have also been imported to the country for testing. The A2757 and A2761 model numbers are associated with the former, whereas model numbers A2588 and A2589 are related to the latter, which is speculated to launch with the iPad Air 5 moniker. The budget iPad is tagged with a pricing of around $300 (~Rs 22,500), while the new iPad Air is priced between $500 (~Rs 37,500) and $700 (~Rs 52,500). Again, these prices should be taken with a pinch of salt.

iPhone SE 3 renders with an iPhone XR-like design had appeared in January 2021, but reports suggest that the handset will not look too different from the iPhone SE 2020. Several reliable sources such as the Japanese Apple blog Macotakara, analysts like Ming-Chi Kuo and Ross Young have claimed that the iPhone SE 2020’s successor will continue to feature a 4.7-inch LCD screen and a design similar to the iPhone 8. Hence, it is likely to feature a Touch ID sensor embedded Home button on the front. It may ship with an Apple A15 Bionic chip and is likely to be available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage choices.

The inclusion of the A15 Bionic is likely to bring support for 5G connectivity on the iPhone SE 3. It may feature an OIS-enabled 12-megapixel dual-camera system on the back and a 12-megapixel front-facing camera. Probably, it will launch a starting price of $399 (~Rs 29,900) in the U.S. There is no word on the pricing of the device for the Indian market.

There is no concrete information on the specs of the budget iPad. As far as the iPad Air 5 is concerned, it may come with an OLED panel, Apple A15 chip, 5G support, 12-megapixel FaceTime camera, a dual-camera setup featuring an ultrawide lens, and quad speakers.

Apple is rumoured to hold its next launch event in April or May. The online-only unveiling event may see the arrival of the above-mentioned devices.
