Apple announced its 2018 iPhones in September. The iPhone XR is the third and the cheapest device launched alongside the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. The iPhone XR will hit the shelves in India from October 26th. The device is available for pre-orders in the country starting today, October 19th. Users can book it on e-com portals Flipkart, Amazon and Paytm Mall as well as Apple’s retail partners. The device will be available in six color options i.e. Black, White, Blue, Yellow, Coral & Product (Red).
To recall the specifications, the iPhone XR sports a glass design and features a 6.1-inch edge to edge Retina display. The device offers Face ID for unlocking and security purposes. The iPhone XR is IP67 certified water and dust resistant.
Performance-wise, the XR houses Apple’s custom A12 Bionic chipset. The device is available in three storage variants i.e. 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. In terms of optics, it sports a single 12MP rear camera and 7MP TrueDepth camera on the front. The camera comes with OIS, Smart HDR, portrait mode, and portrait lighting features. Apple has claimed that the iPhone XR delivers 1.5 hours more battery life than the iPhone 8 Plus. It also supports wireless charging. The device functions as a dual SIM smartphone and supports Nano+ eSIM cards.
The 64GB and 128GB variants of iPhone XR are priced at Rs 76,900 and Rs 81,900 respectively. The higher storage configuration i.e. 256GB retails at Rs 91,900.
