The Apple iPhone XR was introduced in India in October last year. Now, a report by 91mobiles states that offline stores will offer the iPhone XR at a Rs 5,300 discount across all variants until February 13th, as part of a limited-period offer. Additionally, Mumbai-based offline retailer Mahesh Telecom has also announced a price cut of up to Rs 6,400 on the XR.
Since launch, the 64GB, 128GB and 256GB editions of the iPhone XR have been priced at Rs 76,900, Rs 81,900 and Rs 91,900 respectively. While 91mobiles states that the variants will be available at Rs 71,600, Rs 76,600 and Rs 86,600 respectively, Mahesh Telecom is offering the variants for Rs 70,500, Rs 75,500 and Rs 85,900 respectively. This is an unofficial price cut on the XR in India. As of now, online retailers like Flipkart and Amazon are still selling the iPhone XR variants at their launch prices.
The Apple iPhone XR was announced alongside the premium iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max handsets. The Apple iPhone XR comes with a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina Display with a resolution of 1,792 x 828 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Like the iPhone XS and XS Max smartphones, the iPhone XR is powered by the Apple A12 Bionic chipset. The SoC is coupled with 3GB of RAM.
The rear side of the iPhone XR has a single 12-meapixel primary camera which is coupled with a quad-LED dual-tone flash. On the front of the phone is a 7-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone lacks support for the Touch ID fingerprint sensor. Instead, the wider notch on the display has all the complex components to carry support for Face ID’s 3D facial recognition system. The iPhone XR is packed with a 2,942mAh battery with support for Qi wireless charging. The smartphone is available for purchase in multiple colours like black, white, blue, red, coral and yellow.
