IPL 2021 to live telecast on these Star Network Channels on opening day and opening weekend

Star Sports has announced that the Vivo IPL 2021 opening day and opening weekend matches will be broadcasted live on Star Gold as well as Star Bangla channels. As usual, the tournament will be broadcasted live on the Star Sports network as well the Disney+ Hotstar OTT platform.

IPL 2021 is all set to kick off from April 9th in India with a play-off between the defending champions Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Apart from the usual Star Sports channels, fans can also watch the opening day match and first few matches on Star Gold HD/SD, Star Sports 2/2HD, Star Sports 1 Bangla, Jalsha Movies and Asianet Plus.

The VIVO Indian Premier League 2021 will be held in India with metros like Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata hosting the matches. Disney+ Hotstar is the official streaming partner of the IPL and its parent company Star India owns the broadcasting rights to telecast it live on TV.

Now, the official Star Sports handle has announced that the opening day match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore will be telecasted on Star Gold (HD/SD), Star Sports 2 (HD/SD), Star Sports 1 Bangla, Jalsa Movies SD, and Asianet Plus. The Star Sports 1 Bangla and Jalsa Movies SD will telecast the matches with Bengali commentary, whereas the Asianet Plus will have Malayalam commentary.

While these channels will telecast the debut match and the first few matches including the opening weekend matches, the entire event will be telecasted on the regular Star Sports channels. These include Star Sports 1/1 HD, Star Sports 1 Hindi/1 HD Hindi, Star Sports  Select 1/Select HD 1, Star Sports 1 Telugu, Star Sports 1 Tamil, and Star Sports 1 Kannada.

Only a few select opening matches were broadcasted on the Star Gold channel. The entire tournament will be broadcasted on Star Sports 1/1 HD, Star Sports 1 Hindi/1 HD Hindi, Star Sports  Select 1/Select HD 1, Star Sports 1 Telugu, Star Sports 1 Tamil, and Star Sports 1 Kannada.
