Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO has announced that it will be introducing its latest smartphone called the iQOO 3 5G in its home market of China at an event on February 25th. Ahead of the launch, the brand has already revealed a few features of the iQOO 3 5G. As the handset’s name suggests, it will be arriving with support for next-gen 5G networks. The phone is already confirmed to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor, the Snapdragon 865. A recent teaser released by the company revealed that the iQOO 3 5G will be featuring four primary cameras at the rear. Notably, iQOO is expected to launch the iQOO 3 5G as its debut device in India at some point later this month.
iQOO 3 5G specifications and features
The alleged iQOO 3 5G was recently spotted on the Chinese certification agency TENAA’s website, which revealed almost everything about its specifications. As per the listing, the phone will come with a 6.44-inch full HD+ display, and it is expected to utilise a Super AMOLED 2.5D curved glass screen panel. The Snapdragon 865 processor onboard the device is said to offer a clock speed of 2.84GHz. The device is rumoured to come in three RAM variants, including 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB. The storage models could include 128GB and 256GB.
As for the other features, the iQOO 3 5G is rumoured to feature a 64MP primary camera at the rear with the Sony IMX686 sensor. The main camera is said to be accompanied by a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 13MP periscope lens that will offer 5x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video-calling, the phone is rumoured to offer a 16MP camera on the front. Apart from 5G, the device will offer 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, and A-GPS as more connectivity options. Lastly, the rumour mill suggests that the handset will come with an in-display fingerprint sensor and a beefy 4,500mAh battery with 55W fast charging support.
As of now, there’s no word from the brand regarding the pricing of the iQOO 3 5G. However, recent reports from India suggested that it will be a Rs 40,000 offering.
