iQOO 3 confirmed to launch in India on February 25th

Yesterday, we reported that iQOO’s first smartphone in India will be called the iQOO 3. The device will be available Flipkart as well as iQOO’s own website. Now the Vivo sub-brand has started sending out media invites for the launch event on February 25th at 11.30 am in Mumbai. The confirmed launch date is in line with past reports. Notably, the iQOO 3 will be also announced in China on the same day. The upcoming smartphone is already confirmed to arrive as the first device in India with Snapdragon 865 processor. Shopping portal Flipkart has also started teasing the upcoming iQOO 3. The microsite highlights the performance-focussed features of the smartphone. Additionally, it hints at revealing more about the smartphone on February 17th.

iQOO specifications and features

The iQOO 3 is expected to feature an FHD+ AMOLED display measuring 6.44-inches. It will come with a punch-hole camera cutout housing a 16MP selfie snapper. The smartphone is rumoured to sport a quad-camera setup on the back consisting of a 48MP/64MP main sensor, dual 13MP lenses and a 2MP depth camera. The iQOO 3 is also expected to feature a high refresh rate panel and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Under the hood, the iQOO 3 will house Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 865 chipset with an integrated modem for 5G connectivity. It is said to feature LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The device is expected to arrive in RAM and storage configurations up to 12GB and 256GB respectively. The upcoming smartphone will run FunTouch OS based on Android 10. The iQOO 3 is expected to be powered by a 4,370mAh battery with 55W fast charging support. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Bluetooth, USB-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
