iQOO 3 with Snapdragon 865 to be available on Flipkart, expected to launch on February 25th

Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO is all set to enter the Indian smartphone market. Today, the brand has confirmed that its first device in the country will be the iQOO 3, which will be available in India on shopping portal Flipkart and There is no word when the upcoming device will be announced in the country, but past reports have suggested a February 25th launch date. The Vivo sub-brand has already confirmed the launch of the smartphone in China on February 25th. The company said that the iQOO 3 will debut as the first phone in India to be powered by a Snapdragon 865 chipset and also come with 5G capabilities.

iQOO 3 specifications and features

The iQOO 3 was spotted on TENNA last week while today it appeared on Geekbench. Both the websites reveal some key specs about the upcoming smartphone. The iQOO 3 is tipped to sport a 6.44-inch AMOLED display bearing full HD+ resolution. It will reportedly feature a punch-hole cutout for the front camera. The smartphone is confirmed to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 865 processor ticking at 2.84GHz. The SoC is integrated with a 5G modem for 5G network support. On Geekbench, the iQOO 3 is listed with 12GB RAM, while the TENNA listing reveals the phone in three RAM configurations of 6GB, 8GB and 12GB. The device is expected to feature UFS 3.1 storage up to 256GB. It will run Android 10 with FunTouch OS layered on top. 

The iQOO 3 is rumoured to come with a quad-rear camera setup comprising of a 48MP/64MP main sensor, two 13MP lenses and a 2MP depth shooter. The device could feature a 16MP selfie snapper. The upcoming smartphone will reportedly be packed with a 4,370mAh battery unit with support for 55W fast charging. Apart from 5G, the device will offer 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack and in-display fingerprint scanner.
