Today, iQOO has debuted in the Indian market with the launch of iQOO 3. The smartphone has been announced in 5G and 4G versions. Ahead of the launch, the device was teased on Flipkart revealing key specifications. The iQOO 3 comes with powerful specifications and gaming-centric features. Let’s take a detailed look at what the device offers out of the box:
iQOO 3 specifications:
The iQOO 3 sports a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display bearing FHD+ resolution and offering a 91.40 percent screen-to-body ratio. It comes with support for HDR 10+ and offers a 180Hz super touch response rate that is said to improve the screen touch scan frequency by 50 percent from 120Hz. The display is shielded by Gorilla Glass 6 and features a punch-hole camera cutout at the top right corner. In terms of design, the iQOO 3 is available in Quantum Silver, Tornado Black and Volcano Orange colours. It features two pressure-sensitive buttons on the side frame and 4D vibration for a realistic gaming experience. There is a dedicated button on the left side for triggering Google Assistant and other functions.
The iQOO 3 features an L-shaped quad-camera setup in a rectangular module at the back. It comprises a 48MP main Sony IMX582 sensor, a 13MP telephoto lens with 20x digital zoom, 13MP wide-angle unit and a 2MP bokeh camera. Upfront, the device is fitted with a 16MP selfie shooter. Camera features on the device include super night mode, super anti-shake, portrait bokeh, portrait lighting, super macro, slo-mo, pro mode, panorama etc. The iQOO 3 supports up to 4K video recording at 60fps.
On the hardware front, the iQOO 3 is equipped with a Snapdragon 865 processor paired with Adreno 650 GPU onboard. The device features the latest LPDDR5 RAM technology and UFS 3.1 storage for faster multitasking and file transfer speeds respectively. Depending on the user needs, the smartphone can be availed in 8GB+128GB, 8GB + 256GB and 12GB+256GB (5G) RAM and storage configuration. The iQOO 3 draws its power from a 4,440mAh battery unit with support for 55W Super FlashCharge technology. The brand claims that it can charge 50 percent of the battery in just 15 minutes.
Software-wise, the smartphone runs on iQOO UI 1.0 based on Android 10. It ships with features like Game Center, Ultra Game Mode, Smart Split and Eye Protection Mode. The Ultra Game Mode offers a suite of gaming features like Eagle eye view, Esports mode, pressure-sensitive buttons, record screen, voice changer and more.
The iQOO 3 is a dual SIM smartphone and connectivity options on the device include 5G, 4G, 3G, 2G, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
iQOO 3 pricing & availability:
The top-end 12GB+256GB variant of iQOO 3’s 5G version is priced at Rs 44,990. The 4G version will retail at Rs 36,990 and Rs 39,990 for 128GB and 256GB, respectively. The smartphone will go on sale on shopping portal Flipkart and iQOO’s own website starting March 4th at 12pm. As part of introductory offers, the brand is offering Rs 3,000 off to ICICI credit card and EMI transactions and Jio benefits worth Rs 12,000.
