Vivo’s sub-brand, iQOO debuted in India earlier this year with the launch of iQOO 3. The loaded smartphone is the world’s first to feature UFS 3.1 flash storage and also the first to offer a Snapdragon 865 SoC with a 4G-only option. At the time of launch, the iQOO 3 (review) was priced attractively at of Rs 36,990 for the base variant, going up to Rs 44,990 for the top-end 5G model. These pricings were later increased by up to Rs 2,200 due to the hike in GST rates in India. Now, the company has announced a permanent price cut of up to Rs 4,000 for all variants. iQOO 3 new price in India
After the price drop, the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage will retail for Rs 34,990 instead of Rs 38,990. The 8GB + 256GB storage model will retail for Rs 37,990 instead of Rs 41,990. Both these models have received a price drop of Rs 4,000. The top-end 5G model with 12GB + 256GB can now be brought for Rs 44,990, down from Rs 46,990. The new pricings of all three variants are already reflecting on the official website of the brand. iQOO is offering the handset in Quantum Silver, Tornado Black and Volcano Orange colour variants. However, bear in mind that the smartphone will only be available for purchase post the lockdown lifts as e-commerce websites are not allowed to accept non-essentials orders as of now.
iQOO 3 specifications and features
The iQOO 3 comes with a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display bearing FHD+ resolution with features like a 91.40 percent screen-to-body ratio, HDR 10+ and a 180Hz super touch response rate. At its core, the smartphone features a Snapdragon 865 processor paired with Adreno 650 GPU onboard. The phone flaunts the latest LPDDR5 RAM technology and UFS 3.1 storage. The iQOO 3 draws power from a 4,440mAh battery unit with support for 55W Super FlashCharge technology and boots iQOO UI 1.0 based on Android 10. Camera-wise, there’s a 48MP quad-camera setup on the back and a 16MP single front camera.
