iQOO 3 alleged live images show off punch-hole design and in-display fingerprint sensor

Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO is all set to debut in India as an independent company at some point later this month. If the reports are to be believed, the phone maker will foray into the country with the iQOO 3 smartphone. Ahead of the launch, the handset has been leaked multiple times. Recently, the specifications of the iQOO 3 were leaked on the interwebs. Now, a couple of live images of the purported iQOO 3 have surfaced online, which have revealed a few details about the design of the upcoming iQOO handset. The photos were posted on Weibo by a reliable gadget tipster that goes by the name Digital chat station.

In the live images, the purported iQOO 3 is placed beside an OPPO smartphone that resembles the Reno3 Pro. In the first photo, the iQOO 3 is placed on the right side, while in the second image the handset is placed on the left. The photos suggest that the device will come with a hole in the screen’s top-right corner. The handset appears to have a flat display and an in-screen fingerprint sensor for security. The phone seems to have highly narrow bezels on top and sides, but there’s a thick chin onboard.

As for the specs, recent leaks have suggested that the iQOO 3 will flaunt Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 865. The phone is said to offer support for NSA and SA 5G networks. The device will come with a 6.44-inch OLED screen pane from Samsung with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels and a screen refresh rate of 60Hz. The smartphone is rumoured to come with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of native storage, and boot Android 10 out of the box.

At the rear, the iQOO 3 is said to boast a quad-camera setup. The primary sensor of the camera module is said to utilise a 48MP sensor. The smartphone is rumoured to be fuelled by a 4,410mAh battery, which is said to support a whopping 55W fast charging. There’s no word regarding the selfie camera of the handset at the moment.
